The Collective Security Treaty Organization expressed hope that a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed as soon as possible, the Russia-led security group’s Secretary-General, Imangali Tasmagambetov, said on Monday.

He made the remarks at the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly being held in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek.

Although a member of the CSTO, Armenia has frozen its participation in the security bloc and thus did not participate in the Bishkek summit.
