EU foreign ministers last week approved sending a rapid response team to Armenia to counter hybrid threats ahead of the country’s parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan sent a letter to the EU requesting measures to prevent hybrid threats in the run-up to the vote, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

The new mission will consist of 9–14 personnel tasked with countering external information manipulation, interference, and cyber threats. The team is expected to be deployed in Armenia at the end of March or early April for a 10–15-day assignment.
