Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein confirmed on Monday that Iraq plays a pivotal role in extinguishing the sources of tension in the region, via a balanced foreign policy based on the principle of dialogue and joint understanding.

"Hussein met with representatives of several international media channels, on the sidelines of his participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, and dealt - during the meetings - with the most prominent international and regional issues, reviewing the positions of Iraqi foreign policy towards it," said the ministry in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
