The statement came from Russian film director, script writer, producer, general director of Mosfilm Karen Shahnazarov speaking at a news conference in Yerevan on 21 January, Regnum reports. According to him, for him Armenia cannot do without Russia as Russia cannot do without Armenia and they are a single state. Armenia has no chances to live without Russia, Russia has chances but they are also not so good, the filmmaker said, adding that Armenia is the best ally of Russia in the region and it ensures Russia's presence in the Caucasus.
