Delegations from Serbia, Montenegro and Russia joined thousands of locals at the annual parade held on January 9 celebrating the Day of Republika Srpska. 

They defied two rulings by Bosnia’s state-level Constitutional Court that declared the controversial celebration illegal.

Instead, Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia’s Serb-led entity, saw a parade with more than 2,700 participants, including police and veteran associations but also student unions and NGOs.
