Iraq's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday that it had summoned the Lebanese ambassador to Baghdad, Ali al-Habhab, to express its dissatisfaction with statements made by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Lebanese ambassador to Baghdad, Ali al-Habhab, to the ministry headquarters to express its dissatisfaction with the statements made by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in a private interview with an Arab media, in which he discussed the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iraq."
