Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed on Sunday with the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, the developments in the situation in the region, stressing the need for major powers to assume their responsibilities in preventing attacks and stopping the genocide of dangerous dimensions against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.

The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, where they discussed areas of cooperation between Iraq and the European Union countries, reviewed developments in the situation in the region, and the continued Zionist aggression against both Lebanon and Gaza."
