TrendAz, January 23, 2013 According to the experts, EXPO-2017 exhibition in Astana can bring from $520 million to $910 million, Exclusive.kz. analytical magazine said today. The price of one ticket for the exhibition during last years was about $ 30. For example, over 73 million people attended the exhibition in Shanghai in 2010. The organizers' profit hit $ 12 billion. The medium business revenue increased by at least 20 percent. Around 25 million people live in Shanghai. Time will show whether the exhibition will be profitable in Astana. Kairat Kelimbetov promised to make the specified budget by the end of 2013. It is known that around 250 million euros will be allocated from the budget for the construction of infrastructure, communications and venue. It is planned to raise about 1 billion euros for the construction of pavilions and hotels, secretary of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Rapil Zhoshybayev said at a briefing on the central communication service. The funds are required to build hotels, because one-time capacity in Astana is less than 6,000 places. Even if visitors arrive in Astana for one day, no more than 540,000 people will be able to accommodate (assuming that there is one place per one guest). Kazakhstan's economy can get a big multiplier effect from holding EXPO-2017. The president reminded heads of all central state agencies on the responsibility for the timely and accurate implementation of all activities to hold EXPO-2017.
