23 January 2013 Trend Presidential candidate of Armenia, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan does not rule out possible removal of the issue of the Armenian-Turkish relations from the agenda of the National Assembly, the "Novosti-Armenia" Agency reported. "Armenia can review its decision and remove the issue from the agenda of the National Assembly," he said on Monday when addressing the voters in Avan. Sargsyan said that Armenia is not going to make any new initiatives on the Armenian-Turkish relations in the foreseeable future. He also said he does not regret over the efforts that have been taken to realize these initiatives. There are no diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia, and the border between the two countries has been closed since 1993. The reasons for this being Armenia's calls for international recognition of the so-called Armenian genocide and the Armenian armed forces' occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
