The Parliament today rejected a demand from opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) for the resignation of Parliament President Dimitar Glavchev, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency said. Only 114 MPs voted in favour of the resignation, while 118 voted against it. The demand, filed with 80 signatures from all MPs from BSP, claimed that Glavchev systematically failed to fulfill obligations and overstepped his authority. According to BSP, he does not guarantee equality between all MPs. During the debate, BSP leader Korneliya Ninova said the Parliament was not fully functioning in order to conceal the lack of any government programme.
