Pakistan and Azerbaijan on Wednesday held an important meeting to advance bilateral economic cooperation, focusing on the implementation of a Trade and Investment Roadmap. The talks reaffirmed both countries’ determination to deepen economic ties, open new avenues for mutually beneficial investment, and create long-term growth opportunities. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts where Pakistan and Azerbaijan discuss trade and investment roadmap priorities at the official level.

The Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, met the Ambassador of Azerbaijan at the Office of the Coordinator, Kohsar Block. Both sides emphasised that strengthening people-to-people contacts and business-to-business linkages is essential for building a sustainable foundation for cooperation. They noted that such direct engagements foster trust, encourage cross-border ventures, and promote balanced trade relations.

A key focus of the discussions was attracting and safeguarding private sector investment. The two countries underlined that private businesses are the most reliable drivers of growth, innovation, and job creation. In this regard, Pakistan highlighted its readiness to facilitate Azerbaijani investors and ensure a secure investment climate, while Azerbaijan expressed keen interest in expanding its footprint in Pakistan’s growing market.
