Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed, today, Thursday, that Iraq stands against any wars while expressing his concern about the situation in the region.

"We will reach certain understandings with the Turkish side regarding the Bashiqa camp in northern Iraq," Hussein said in a press conference held with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in the Turkish capital Ankara, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicating that "Iraq has decided to put the Kurdistan Labors' Party on the list of banned parties."

He added, "During our meeting with our Turkish counterpart, we expressed our deep concern about the state of tension in the region and the continued aggression on Gaza," noting that "the region is still under fire and Iraq stands against any wars."
