The Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) will host Prof. Cemalettin Taşkıran, faculty member at Gazi University Faculty of International Relations, to deliver a conference titled The Pre-Relocation Van Rebellion and the Massacre of Zeve.

At the conference, Prof. Taşkıran, who is the co-author of the books titled Sasun: The History of an 1890s Armenian Revolt and The Armenian Rebellion at Van together with Justin McCarthy, Ömer Turan and Esat Arslan, will share his views on the Van rebellion, which was a turning point in taking the decision to relocate Armenians, and the massacre of Zeve, which was committed by Armenian gangs within the context of the rebellion.
