Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed, on Thursday evening, that Iraq is going through an unprecedented phase of political stability and development movement, noting the aspiration with the Czech Republic to enhance trade, investment, energy, industrial cooperation and other files.

The Prime Minister said during a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart Petr Fiala, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We thanked the Czech Republic for its support for Iraq in the war on ISIS terrorist gangs. There are many opportunities for cooperation and joint work, and we are working to enhance trade, investment, energy and industrial cooperation relations."

He added, "We proposed the development road project and the necessity of the presence of Czech companies in its implementation stages, and we will extend an invitation to Czech companies to enter Iraq, and we see that there are promising opportunities in the oil sector and gas investment."
