Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein discussed preparations for the Second Arab-Chinese Summit, on Thursday, with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Wei.

A ministry statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Wei," indicating that "during the meeting, the ambassador conveyed a message from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the ongoing preparations for the Second Arab-Chinese Summit, scheduled to be held in the capital, Beijing, next year."

He added that "during the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a joint coordination mechanism between Iraq and China to oversee preparations for the summit and determine the dates of its meetings in the near future."
